Writing Prompt Friday (Wednesday)

WPF Princess Ducky

Hello and welcome back to Writing Prompt Friday! Yes, it’s only Wednesday, but I skipped posting a writing last Friday because I was (and still am) sad about Grumpy Cat, and this coming weekend is Memorial Day weekend here in the U.S. and I get a three-day weekend, so there’s a good chance my brain will get overexcited about the extra day off and totally forget about posting. Posting these prompts is fun, and I don’t want to forget.

This week’s prompt came to me at 2:34 a.m. while I was cleaning up after the cat.

Enjoy!

Begin and end a story with:

“It served the gerbil well.”

Bonus points for using that same phrase ten times without being too repetitive. Yes, you read that right.

Bonus points are valid only for self esteem and bragging rights. Not valid for monetary prizes or any tangible goodie here, with any merchant or anywhere on the planet, real or imagined. Non-transferrable. Never expires.

Enjoy!

Thanks for putting out the challenge. I really enjoyed it. I think this could become a habit…
