Writing Prompt Friday (gift)

writingpromptfridaycoffee

Hello and welcome back to Writing Prompt Friday! I’ve worked in some office environments whose inhabitants bragged about how often and how big they ate. “This office runs on food,” they would say with a gleam in their eyes. Where I (happily) work now? More food motivated than a pack of hound dogs.

A mass instant message was just sent to everyone in the building and in half a heartbeat, the chairs around me emptied as already-well-fed adults stampeded to the site of the free food. Mind you, no one even had to say exactly what kind of food is available; just that it’s free, plentiful and there for the taking.

I love where I work. I don’t partake because I’m a bit of germaphobe about communal food, but I love the good spirit.

And now, this week’s prompt…

It smelled, well, wrong.

No limit on length.
