writing prompt friday: catching up

judgemental-cat-isjudging-lolcat

Hello, and welcome back. Yes, it’s been a while. Sorry ’bout that. Feeling rather overwhelmed to do too much outside of immediate needs. I’m sure you know what I mean. But I want to keep this up in case anything here prompts you to write something you love or that helps you find meaning or even take a timeout from reality and find some happy. Writing for the sake of writing is fun.

So, in that spirit, let’s move to a few writing prompts (because catching up is catching up… so the lolcat stops judging me).

Pick a prompt, any prompt.

Write the life story of a bookmark.

“There can be only _________.”

Start with “This twilight, the sun decided to linger a little longer.” End with “And the world went to sleep.

Write a 500-word story in which you use the phrase “My left sock ran away” six times.

“Feel how I feel, think how I think, just don’t _________.”

As always, feel free to share your writing in the comments. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

Yours, Ducky
